She was predeceased by: her parents, Teofilo Cabanting and Tomasa Cabanting; her husband Sergio Sicat; and her siblings, Josephine Cabanting Chiu, Teresita Cabanting Juan, Teofilo Cabanting Jr. and Remedios Cabanting.
She is survived by: her children, Arlene (Edelino), Glenda (Phillip) and Shervin (Jackie); and her siblings, Evangeline, Carlito, Alberto, Luz and Elsa. She is also survived by Granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L4J1W3). A Mass was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
She was always willing to help others, whether through sharing what she had, donating clothing and personal items, or bringing gifts and necessities to family and friends during her visits to the Philippines.
