Vera Brown Obituary

Brown, Vera Louise (nee Warren) passed away peacefully, on Wednesday July 22nd, 2026, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her lifelong love and husband of 61 years, Kenneth Brown.

Dear mother of Steven (late Cheryl), late Richard (Heather), Wendy (Stephen), and Paul (Lynn). Loving Nanny to 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Vera was the youngest, and last living child of Sarah and Albert Warren (11 children).

Vera loved spending time outdoors and was an avid walker until her final days. She was noted for her warm smile, kind demeanour, and gentle sense of humour. Vera found deep joy in babies and young children, and is warmly remembered by being the first person to hold any baby in the room.

The United Church was always a corner stone of Vera's life. She was active over the years as an Elder, Treasurer, Choir member, U.C.W., and always quick to offer a helping hand whenever needed.

Vera also enjoyed belonging to The Red Hats, ever ready for Adventures with her friends.

In keeping with Vera's wishes, a private family interment in Verona will take place. Friends and family will be received at a Celebration of Life on Thursday August 20th, 2026 2:00-4:00 at the Lions Club Hall in Verona.

Vera's family wish to express heartfelt gratitude to Carveth Care Centre in Gananoque for the sincere and compassionate care our mother received, while preserving her grace and dignity. The Angel Walk was a perfect tribute to our sweet mother.
