He was predeceased by: his parents, Katharina Schmidt and Johann Schmidt; and his sister Anna. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Kathy, Helene (Christopher Reddick) and Liesel (Ron Struck); his grandchildren, Kathleen (Takashi Dos Santos), Michael, Joanne, Barbara, Thomas, August and Robert; and his great grandchildren, Amicia and Aline.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St, Vineland, ON L0R2C0). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Vineland Cemetery (4025 Martin Rd, Vineland, ON L0R2C0).
