He is survived by: his wife Dianne (Dee); his sons, Dave (Sandy), Bob (Laura) and Bill (Tamara); his grandchildren, Brandon, Austin (Saepom), Justine (Matt), Logan (Patrick), Mackenzie (Gabe) and Kamryn; his great grandchildren, Ava, Blake and Mya; his brother Jim Blake (Diana); and his brother-in-law Dave Cummings. He is also survived by many other friends, family, and his fire family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Scott to the Canadian Cancer Society.
