With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kornelius Pieter VanBrakel (Vineland, Ontario), who passed away on January 18, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Wendy Teeuwsen (Bob), Nancy Duerksen (Harry), Marlene Teeuwsen (John) and Joanne Boekestyn (Ed); his siblings, Rietᵻ Poortinga (Edᵻ), Nell Miedema (Sidᵻ), Magda Jonker (Herman) and Pieter van Brakel (Jane); his grandchildren, Derek Teeuwsen (Carolyn), Jeff Teeuwsen (Melissa), Matt Teeuwsen (Danielle), Mike Teeuwsen (Victoria), AnnElise Hoogendam (Andrew), Lucas Teeuwsen (Rela), Peter Teeuwsen (Anna), Christina DeVries (Kurtis), Steve Boekestyn, Richelle Langendoen (Justin), Brooke Hultink (Timothy), Thomas Boekestyn, Eddie Lucciola (Emily), Kory Lucciola and Jordan Lucciola; his parent Rotterdam; his wife Joan (Vahrmeyer); and also, Karlᵻ Vahrmeyer (Nettie), Bas Vahrmeyer (Betty), Mien Plugers (Corᵻ), Riet Schouten (Dickᵻ), Thys Vahrmeyer (Tina), Bill Vahrmeyer (Tina) and Ron Vahrmeyer (Audrey).
Unfortunately, due to the impact of Covid, there will be no visitation – however the family would love to receive any notes of sympathy, encouragement or shared experiences.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Beacon Christian School or Shalom Manor.
