He was predeceased by: his brother Bruno Penner (Freda Epp); his siblings-in-law, Hilde (Friesen), Peter Sawatzky, John and Trudy Friesen (Pimiskern); and his parents, Rev. Jacob P. Penner and Katharina Penner (Winter).
He is survived by: his wife Rita (Friesen); his children, Randy (Janet Wiens) and Cathy Maiolo (Sal); his grandchildren, Ethan Maiolo (Sam Krueger), Michael Maiolo (Elyse Burlingham), Christine Maiolo (Kevin Brink), Larissa Penner (Derek Eyer) and David Penner (Emily Elash); his great grandchildren, Simon, Walter, Ben and Helen; his sister Katie Brown (late Hank); and his siblings-in-law, Mary (Friesen) and Koop (late Ernie). He is also survived by Uncle Rudy will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St, Vineland, ON L0R2C0). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Tallman Funeral Homes - Fireside Room (3277 King St, Vineland, ON L0R2C0).
