He was predeceased by: his former wife Laura Janzen (Boldt); his parents, Rev. J. K. Janzen and Tina Janzen (Quiring); and his siblings, Jake, Siegfried, Walter, John, Martha and Monica.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Janzen (Rittenhouse); his children, Marjorie Hartig (John), Marilyn Schroeder (Jerry) and Ken Janzen (Sue); his grandchildren, Shaun Schroeder (Rachael), Tamara Barber (Jordan), Andrew Schroeder (Tara), Darriane and Braeden Janzen; and his brother Edmund Janzen (Mary).
