He was predeceased by : his brother Joop; and his parents, Johannes and Elisabeth. He is survived by : his spouse Truus; his children, Johannes (Gina Goldie) of Revelstoke, B. C., Margriet (Simon Lasalle) of Costa Rica and Liesbeth Turiak (Derek) of Oakville; his grandchildren, Rio, Zaia, Jackson and Trista; his siblings, Willem (Ina) of The Netherlands, Sjoerd of The Netherlands, Quint of The Netherlands, Lysbeth of The Netherlands, Geert Jaap of Sweden and Jilling of New Zealand; and his siblings-in-law, Hilly (Albert), Geert (Anneke) of The Netherlands and Jan Willem (Ineke) of The Netherlands. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
