He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his son Roy John (Lauren) of Spruce Grove, AB; his brother-in-law Alan Engel; and his parents, Roy Tanner and Isabel Tanner.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Fairminer (Chris) of Elmwood and Jeff of London; his grandchildren, Steven, Danielle, Ashley, Samantha, Nicholas, Dustin, Halie and Colton; and his siblings, Shane Tanner (Gail) of Fergus, Betty Nelson (Jack) of Edmonton, AB, Joan Poechman (Allan) of Hanover and Ruth Engel of Hanover. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
