She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Schmidt and Helen Schmidt; her husband George Vasey; her stepson David Vasey of Toronto; and her sister Margaret Schmidt.

She is survived by : her children, Stephen Ellis (Mal) of Burlington, Rebecca Ellis (Ryan Sills) of London, Marc Ellis of Toronto, Susan Kuntz (Chris) of Walkerton, Jacqueline Di Fonzo (Thomas) of Walkerton and Joe Vasey (Jennifer) of Walkerton; her siblings, Mary Anne Schmidt-Shoukri (Jason) of Oakville and Peter Schmidt (Janice) of Kitchener; and her grandchildren, Nyah, Zoey, Aidan, Keagan, Addison, Asher, Kobie, Mila, Gabrielle, Georgia and Lilly.
