David Schaus Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2026, at the age of 91, David Schaus (Walkerton, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Schaus and Orillia Wettlaufer Schaus; his brothers, Wilmer (Dora), Melvin, Harold (Mae) and Arnold (Rita); his parents-in-law, Reuben and Hulda Allensen; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Kaufman and John McDonald.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Allensen; his children, Gayle and John; his grandchildren, Alex (Nick) and Hannah; his sister Margaret Bohnert (Donn); and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kaufman and Diane McDonald (Jakob). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Since covid he worshipped with a core group of people on Zoom taking advantage of what technology could offer him.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Walkerton Food Bank or Saugeen Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
