He was predeceased by : his brother-in-law Carl Johnston; his wife Camilla Lorentz; his parents, James Lorentz and Carolina Lorentz; his sisters, Miriam (late Bill Bonnell), Sister Audrey (Betty), Dorothy Lorentz and Audrey (late George Grubb); and his brother-in-law Earl Helm.

He is survived by : his children, Carol-Ann Lorentz (Ron Hoffman) and James; his sister Peggy Helm; and his sister-in-law Janis Black.
