He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ann; his parents, Ed Maxwell and Sylvia Maxwell; and his siblings, Ken, Vic, Earl and Doreen Schaefer.

He is survived by: his children, Laurie Maxwell (Mark Montgomery), Sherry Ferris (Dennis), Shane Maxwell and Derek Maxwell; his grandchildren, Victoria Wollis, Luke Montgomery, Misti Ferris, Ryan Ferris, Katie Ferris, Kaylie Maxwell, Rylie Maxwell, Angelina Maxwell, Marissa Maxwell and Jada Murray; his great grandchildren, Beau Wollis, Tanner Wollis, Ryker Montgomery, Maleah Howes, Jillian Howes, Paul Howes, Nash Faria, Theodore Ferris and Evan Oleksik; and his sister Sharon Cronin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mildmay Recreational Complex.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer's Society of Grey-Bruce or Walkerton Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
