He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Hossfeld and Elfreida Hossfeld; his siblings, Florence Schaus (Ervin), Nelda Hohnstein (Norman) and Norman Hossfeld; and his siblings-in-law, Elgin Lantz (Doretta), Gordon, Rueben Lantz, Leona Weltz (Lorne), Sylvia Weber and Reta Weiser (Gordon).
He is survived by: his spouse Eleda (Lantz); his children, Jane Hossfeld of Waterloo, Connie Wolfe (Doug) of Waterloo, Paul Hossfeld of South Bruce, David Hossfeld (Lisa) of Listowel, Nancy Hossfeld of Kitchener and Kathy Lautenslager (Kevin) of Kitchener; his grandchildren, Laura (Jeff), Wesley (Elaura), Jordan, Nicholas, Krystal, Maranda and Liam; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Hossfeld (Emelia Hartman) of Hanover, Clarence Lantz (Eunice) of Durham and Tom Weber of Neustadt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
