He was predeceased by : his wife Ann; his son Trevor; his grandson Tyler Curran; his great grandchild Bentley Gibson; his nephew Daniel O'Connell; and his brother-in-law Dan O'Connell.

He is survived by : his children, Lisa Chesney (Norm Ireland) of Hanover, Ava Warren (John Fellows) of Goderich, Craig (Sabrina) of Breslau and Calvin (Melissa Schultz) of Carlsruhe; his siblings, Jeannie Mitrisan (Mike) of Niagara, Jeff (Wendy) of Guelph and Joanne of Guelph; and his close friend Carolyn Meyer. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
