He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Diane Margaret (Nichols); his parents, Jozef Rys and Sophie Rys; his brothers, Douglas (Mary) and Bob (Linda); his children, Susan Lewis (Rob) of Ottawa, Cathy Spitzig (Dave) of Walkerton, Stephanie Sanko (Ron) of Belle River and Michael Rys (Carrie) of Collingwood; his grandchildren, Zachary (Emily), Benjamin (Emily), Luke (Jenna), Jaclyn (Austin), Marc (Jessica), Jake (Victoria), Jack (Amanda), Avery and Mason; his great grandchild Margaret Robinson; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Dixon, Ronnie Nichols and John Nichols.
