He was predeceased by : his wife Helen; his son Paul; his grandson Braydon Berberich; his siblings, Florence, Eugene, Len, Ray and Harold (Lorraine); and his parents, Albert and Olivia.

He is survived by : his children, Brenda Patterson (Ron) of Hanover, Lynn Dentinger of Hanover, Karen Busby (Doug) of Walkerton, Jana Dentinger (Darryl Dahms) of Walkerton, Cathy Murray of Hanover, Mary Berberich (Mike) of Walkerton, Lori Alexander (Trevor) of Durham and Janis Bell (Doug) of Durham; his grandchildren, Lindsay (Joel), Jessica (Mike), Becky (Jake), Joshua, Matthew, Mitchell (Amanda), Joel (Rayanne), Brittany, Brett, Jared, Connor, Lauren (Lance) and Curtis; his sister Leona Dentinger of Waterdown; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Dentinger of Walkerton and Leona Dentinger of Walkerton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
