He was predeceased by: his daughter Jill Edwards; his son-in-law Paul Wells; his niece Barb Trushinksi; and his parents, Tom Etherton and Alice Etherton.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Chuck (Jude) of New Zealand, Liz (Alex Ilchuk) of Whitehorse, YK, Stephanie (Allan Waechter) of Walkerton, Peter of Whitehorse, YK, Sally Kroeplin (Gord) of Formosa, Jenny Chesney (Tom) of Cargill, Nonnie Wilson (John) of Listowel, Jack (Tami) of Paisley, Jason (Tara) of Walkerton, Kate Cartwright (Mark) of Listowel, Cary (Holly-Jane), Ken (Amber), Beck (Tim), Josh (Alyssa), Jenine, Marc (Lauren), Jacob (Elizabeth), Julie (Caden), Wade (Khaty), Whitney (Kyle), Amanda (Chris), Darryl (Ashley), Mia and Caleb; his siblings-in-law, Harry Von Hatten (Penny) and Dorothy Wyatt; and his niece Carol Henkel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cameron Funeral Home (1106 Yonge St S, Walkerton, ON N0G2V0). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (221 Victoria St, Walkerton, ON N0G2V0).
