He was predeceased by: his parents, George Winship and Edith Winship (Tuffin); his son Michael Winship; and his brothers, Floyd, Fred and John.

He is survived by: his children, Trish, Todd O'Neill, Judy and Brian Goodall; his grandchildren, Mindy (Steve), Jessie (Rob), Josh, Nicholas (Ashley), Dustin and Dylan (Kendal); and his siblings, Douglas and Lynda Winship. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
