He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Alice; his parents, Lawrence Ryan and Marjorie Ryan (Reid); his in-laws, Frank and Freda Skinner (Holborn); and his siblings, Joan (Don McDonald), Bob (Barb Ryan), Jim Ryan (Jack) and Marianna Ryan (Nelson Ryan).
He is survived by: his wife Anne (Skinner); his children, Paul, Cheryl, Chris, Michael and Kathy; his grandchildren, Curtis (Lauren), Matthew (Megan), Celeste, Shane (Ashley), Mitchell and Holly (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Brielle, Bryce, Colton, Rosie, Georgia, Barret and Camryn; his sister Teresa Ryan; and his sister-in-law Betty Ryan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A prayer was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Haskett Funeral Home (87 Goderich St W, Seaforth, ON N0K1W0). Visitation was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ambrose Church (17 Flora St, Brussels, ON N0G1H0).
As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that donations in Jerry's memory be made to Children's Health Foundation (Designate to Children's Hospital) or Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario.
