He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Gerdie; his children, Phyllis Kuipers (John), Sheila Simpson, Glenn Scheepstra (Janet) and Faye Gillingham (Paul); his grandchildren, Adrianna DiGiovanni (Daniel), Jordan Kuipers, Michelle Kuipers, Amelia Simpson, Sarah Simpson, Julia Simpson, Katerina Scheepstra, Zoe Scheepstra, Samantha Knox, Sydney Gillingham and Jace Gillingham; and his great grandchildren, Giuliana DiGiovanni and Emma DiGiovanni.

In memoriam, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Warkworth Place.
