He was predeceased by : his daughter Diane; his parents, Bill Downes and Phyllis Downes; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Brown. He is survived by : his wife Margaret; his children, Donna Downes (Robert Bayliss), Darlene Kidman (Bill) and Benson Downes (Sherry); his grandchildren, Shannon, Jon, Jenn and Liam; his great grandchild Carter; his siblings, Mary Palmateer (Dave), Patrick Downes (Karen) and Peter Downes (Darlene); and his siblings-in-law, Benson Brown and Dorothy Brown. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society - Wheels of Hope would be appreciated by the family.
