She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Volodymyr Melech; her children, Miroslawa Bilaniuk (Nykolai), Irena Tomczyk (Grzegorz), Anna Halay (Ivan) and Grazyna Batruch (Arko); her grandchildren, Philip, Nicole, Dominika, Daniel, Daria, Borys, Oleksa and Ksenia; her great grandchildren, Derek, Olivia and Maxym; her mother Warsaw University; Maria Sholohon.
