He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Hendrika; his children, Kellie (Jeff Whiteside) and Scott (Janet Petrocco); his grandchildren, Gale and Ian; and his siblings, Arthur, Rosie, Leonard and Betty.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Baptist Church (79 Ardagh Rd, Barrie, ON L4N9B6). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

If desired, a donation to Heritage Baptist Church for missions abroad would be appreciated by Hendrika.
