He was predeceased by: his father Paul; his siblings, Hillary and Ari; and his mother Esther. He is survived by: his wife Tracey; his family, Tracey, Tyler, Liam of Erin, AJ and Marilyn; his siblings, Debbie, Danny and Jay; his siblings' children, Nathalie, Courtney, Tina, Alex, Jason, Josh, Noah, Chaz and Ross; Michael. He is also survived by his nine great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Shawn's honour to the Hillary Firestone Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto would be appreciated. Donations are being accepted for: THE PRINCESS MARGARET CANCER FOUNDATION (The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation).
