He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Mary (Weiler); his children, Bob Jr. (Sue), Joanne (Barry Bubela), Kelly VanLeuvenhage (Jeff) and Jennifer (Jennifer Shepherd); and his grandchildren, Chloe, Madi, Jordyn, Noah, Adam, Rachel, Devin, Caleb and Max. He was also cherished by his extended family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Waterford District Community Foundation.

“Dear Mary, Bob Jr., Joanne, Kelly and Jennifer, Sorry to hear the sad news of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of curling with Bob. Every time he came to the curling rink he would greet you (by name) with a warm hello, a friendly smile and a twinkle in his eye, which made you wonder what he was up to this time. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him. May he rest in peace. Patrick McElhone”
