He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Smith and Dorothy Smith; his son Nathan Smith; his granddaughters, Jaleesa Wright-Smith and Alyssa Sellar; and his siblings, Doug Smith and Marie Flood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Smith (Jonathan Matthews), Amy Sellar (Matthew) and Heather Smith (George Goff); his grandchildren, Treyton Smith, Darian Matthews, Pyper Matthews, Rykker Matthews, Jessica LaForme, Christopher LaForme, Megan LaForme, Jordyn Sellar and Myah Smith-Goff; his great grandchildren, Clara, Darienn, Zayden, Rayvaen, Daytona and Deklynn LaForme; and his sister Ellen Krentz (Wayne).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home (62 Main St N, Waterford, ON N0E1Y0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
