As Wayne departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Wayne. Though Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Hird; his parents, Joseph Hird and Arley Hird; his brother Eugene Hird; and his niece Andrea Elizabeth Hird.
He is survived by: his siblings, Warren Hird (late Phyllis), Sylvia Clement (late Arnold), Joan Jones (Reg) and Denis Hird (Kathy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home (62 Main St N, Waterford, ON N0E1Y0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
