She was predeceased by: her spouse Leonhard Frede; and her parents, Eli Bauman and Vera Bauman (Habermehl). She is survived by: her children, Kathy Dobes (Karel) and Jeff Frede (Norma); her grandchildren, Jill Haan, Janine Sunga (Billy), Colin Frede (Amy Langer) and Evan Frede (Jamie); and her daughter Elizabeth Ziegler.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7).
