She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schroeder and Nora Schroeder (McEachern); her son Calvin; her siblings, Bill, Faye Anne, Karen Kerr and Doreen Waldron; her father-in-law Albert Holst; and her brother-in-law Jim Holst.
She is survived by: her children, Jason Holst and Crystal Holst; her grandchildren, Liam Holst, Lauren Holst-Burnard and Lily Holst-Burnard; her husband Lorne Holst; her mother-in-law Ellen Holst; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Holst (Gloria), Carl Holst (Maryanne) and Susan (Brad Beck). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home (291 Huron St, New Hamburg, ON N3A1K2). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wilmot Centre Missionary Church (2463 Bleams Rd, Wilmot, ON N3A3B4). A burial was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wilmot Centre Cemetery (2517 Bleams Rd, New Hamburg, ON N3A3J2).
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Waterloo Regional Health Network Cancer Centre or Wilmot Centre Missionary Church through the funeral home. Donations are being accepted for: Waterloo Regional Health Network Foundation (WRHN Foundation) (GRAND RIVER HOSPITAL FOUNDATION) WILMOT CENTRE MISSIONARY CHURCH.
