He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Kienapple; his parents, Alfred Kienapple and Dorothy Kienapple; and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Scharlach (Jason Scharlach); and his grandchildren, Piper, Sage and Nash.
