He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Nowak and Anna Nowak. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Angela Garland (Nathan) and Andrew Nowak (Sarah); his grandchildren, Olivia, Hannah, Alayna Garland, Ava and William Nowak; his sisters, Goldine Pankratz (Jim) and Nell Peters (Martin); and his siblings-in-law, David Thiessen, John Thiessen (Marisa) and Barbara Krick.
