With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Douglas Hillis (Waterloo, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sr. Hillis and Mary Hillis; his brother-in-law Norm Wylie Sr.; and his nephew Greg Pyne. He is survived by: his spouse Dale Marilyn Hillis; his daughters, Victoria Hillis and Leanne Braga (Sergio); his stepchildren, Steven and Terry; his grandchildren, Monica, Ben (Gabby), Hayley, Emily, Savannah and Hannah; and his siblings, John Hillis (Sharon), Theresa Wylie and Marylou Pyne (Phillip).

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Hospice Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family.
