Maria Ehrmann Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Maria Ehrmann (Waterloo, Ontario) is shared. Maria passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael; her parents, Michael Schmidt and Sofia Schmidt; her siblings, Johann Schmidt, Sofia Schneider (Johann), Miki Schmidt (Resi) and Anni Deeg (Karl); her brother-in-law Howard Kaufman; her nieces, Ingrid Rutherford and Gerda VonMaur; and her nephew Hans Schneider.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, David, Emma Shilling, Jonathan and Lisa Shilling; her great grandchildren, Thomas, Julia, Jackson and Everly; and her sister Kathe Kaufman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (78 John St W, Waterloo, ON N2L1B8). A burial was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Woodland Cemetery (119 Arlington Blvd, Kitchener, ON N2A2G8).
As expressions of sympathy and to honour Maria, donations to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Canadian Lutheran World Relief, or The Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
