He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Enoch and Sarah Wathke; wife: Lois Ann (Lois Ann Somerville); daughters: Pam (Tim) Cant and Leanne Lapierre; grandchildren: Victoria (Edriel), Hayden, Brianna, Avery and Alexis; great-grandchildren: Alaia and Amelia; brothers: Harry, Wallace, George, Stewart and Carl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jack and Jane Harvey, Elizabeth Wathke, Gwen Wathke, Lloye Wathke, Joan and Ken Campbell, and Linda and Eric Ross; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church (https://www.historicstpauls.ca), Lutheran Bible Translators, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made at the funeral home or online directly through the charity's website.
