It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy John Hackbart (Waterloo, Ontario), who passed away on November 14, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Dorothy; his siblings, Robert (Mary), Audrey Dietrich (Harold) and Phyllis Mohr (Alf); his siblings-in-law, Ruby Hackbart, Ivy Smith (Jim), Lil Quehl (Pat) and Charles Powell; and his sons-in-law, Art Martin and Howard Works.

He is survived by : his daughters, Wendy Martin, Judy Hackbart and Cathy Dowdall (Gary); his grandchildren, Connie Cunningham (William), Patrick Dowdall (Amanda), Kelly Dowdall (Matt), Megan Works, Matt Works (Chris) and Taylor Works; his great grandchildren, Ashanti (Kevin), Jarule, Tishana Cunningham, Cooper, Jackson Dowdall, William Fatkin and Jayden Arsenault; his great great grandchild Kimara; his brother Lorne Hackbart; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Powell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
