Sylvia Rossel Obituary
We announce the death of Sylvia Rossel (Waterloo, Ontario), who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 71. Sylvia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Art Rossel; her parents, Henk Vanderloo and Ann Vanderloo; her brother Quentin; her parents-in-law, Gerrit and Elisabeth Rossel; and her brothers-in-law, Frans, Ger and Peter Beutler.
She is survived by: her children, Tony (Annette), Bernie (Danijela) and Liesje Ammann (Reto); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Levi, Judah Snieder, Zoe Ammann, Olivia, Caleb, Charlotte and Lily Rossel; her siblings, Henry Vanderloo (Ann), Mike (Kim), Frank (Evonne), Dave (Tara), Jeannette Chapman (Gord), Frances Pavao (Walter), Karen Hakkers (Jim) and Annette Vanderloo (Greg); and her siblings-in-law, Cees (Ineke), Rob (Sjouk Bruinsma), Henny Beutler, Hanny and Ria. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waterloo Christian Reform Church (209 Bearinger Rd, Waterloo, ON N2L4H5). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Parkview Cemetery (335 University Ave E, Waterloo, ON N2K4P4).
