She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Shantz; her son Douglas Shantz; and her parents, Laura Dedels and Norman Dedels. She is survived by: her daughter Linda Bauman; her grandchildren, Jason Bauman (Rae) and Dean Bauman (Marisa); and her siblings-in-law, Carson Shantz (Gail), Peter Shantz (late Wendy), Betty Shantz (late Glen) and Ruth Shantz (late Leon).
