He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Steers; his parents, George Steers and Florence Steers; his parents-in-law, Hugh and Gladys Sibbett; and his siblings, William, George, Douglas, David Steers, Florence Lundy, Edna Coles and Carol Travis.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Steers (Elaine) and Linda Bacon (Terry); his grandchildren, Alex Steers (Hillary), Jessica Beally (Aaron), Chase Barber (Emma-Rose) and Zachary Barber; his great grandchild Nash Beally; his sisters, Sharon Beauvais (Paul) and Elaine Burns (Perry); and his in-laws, Marilyn Giroux, Marsha Jackson (Peter), Glen Sibbett (Cathy), Cathy Stephenson (Phil) and Sam Travis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home (241 W Main St, Welland, ON L3C5A4). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the Steers Family.
