Barbara Winger Obituary

Barbara Winger April 9, 1948- March 7, 2023. Barbara passed away peacefully on March 7, 2023, at the age of 74 with her daughter by her side. Cherished mother of Sherry Skinner (Tim Lukacs). Forever missed by her grandchildren; Vanessa Duke (Hollis) and Melinda Millard (Ben) as well as her great grandchildren; Noah and Nikko Duke. Beloved sister of Bill Shanessy (Auzzi), Shirley Gonyou (Gord) and Nancy Shanessy. Predeceased by her parents William and Olga (née Sawiska) and her late son Jack Winger as well as her brother Ron Shanessy. Barbara will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Barbara fought a long battle with kidney failure, and we would like to extend our gratitude to the Welland Hospital Dialysis floor for the six years of continued compassion and love.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. If desired donations can be made to the Niagara SPCA which would be greatly appreciated by the family.
