Betty Elaine Katch Obituary

We announce the death of Betty Elaine Katch (Welland, Ontario), who passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 100. Betty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband William Katch; her parents, Jack Paterson and Harriet Paterson; and her brothers, Leonard Douglas Paterson (Margaret) and John "Jack" Vernon Paterson (Ruth).

She is survived by: her children, William David Katch (Lynda), Betty Diane Katch and James Richard Katch (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Sarah Katch (Julia), Kyle Katch (Laura), Wendy Katch and Chris Katch (Tanya); and her great grandchildren, Lauren, William, Anna, Thomas, Alice, Ava and Roman.

The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland (due to construction please access from Prince Charles Drive) on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. followed by a service ion the Cudney Chapel at 1 p. m.
