She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Mary O'Bireck (Niedzielski); her husband Fred; her parents-in-law, Roger, Mary and Vera Leon; her children, Stephanie Skene (George), Mary Louise Colantonio (Frank), Fred (Anna) and Matthew (Claudia); her grandchildren, David (Stephanie), Caroline, Lauren (David), Elaine (Luke), Jeffrey, Joel, Julianne, Ryan, Samuel and Valerie; her great grandchild Isla; her siblings, Walter O'Bireck (Molly), Rose Lipic (John), James O'Bireck (Rose), Bernice Sczelecki (Adam), Julius O'Bireck (Janey), Jane Rose (Don) and Alice Leon (Edward); her siblings-in-law, James Leon (Rebecca), Abbey Leon (Joan), Norman Leon (Nancy), Lena Kiss (Zenon), Marion Timmins (Bill), Gary Leon (Debbie), Gregory Leon (Charmaine), Geoffrey Leon (Keeley), Gisele Leon, Grantly Leon, Graeme Leon (Giulia) and Gayle Martinez (Tony); her friend Betty; her nieces, Barbara and Monica; and her mother Haytham Sharar. She was also cherished by her many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
