He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Mitchell and Beatrice Mitchell; and his brothers, Bruce (Maureen) and Donald. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Ruth Ann Watt (Brian) and Paul Mitchell (Madge); his grandchildren, Jeff (Mary), Andrew (Janis), Laurel (Annie) and Rhea (Chad); his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Elliott, Daisy, Matilda and Rowan; and his sisters, Betty Parsons (Ron) and Margaret. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial donations in Cecil's memory may be made to St David's Anglican Church.
