It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clarence Rivett (Welland, Ontario), who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, Alysa Gallen (Shawn) and Amy Wright (Craig); his grandchildren, Niklas, Nathan Gallen, Alexis and Jordan Wright; and his sisters, Sadie Smagata (Alex) and Sandra Dumphey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“First met Clarence in 1962, our family moved in next door to the Rivetts. Clarence and I played hockey together, participated in track and field events and both became proud members of the Fonthill Road Lions car club. A close friendship developed over many years. Clarence even allowed me to run the quarter mile in his 55 Chey known as 'Time and Effort'. Clarence ran at least 2 other drag cars back in the 60's and early 70;s. Clarence was one swell guy that I admired, I loved his warm smile”
