He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex and Jessie; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, David (Cheryl) of Kitchener, Katherine of St. Catharines and Laura (Mark) of Toronto; and his grandchildren, Jasper, Elizabeth, Annie and Callum.
