It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald William Young of Welland, Ontario, who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Young and Helen Young; and his siblings-in-law, Antonio and Filomena Politi. He is survived by: his wife Theresa (Politi); his children, Anthony (Jenna), Victoria (Tomas) and Andrew (Daniella); his grandchildren, Iyla, Vera, Adriana, Julian, Viola, Petra and Penelope; his brother Larry; and his sister-in-law Gigi. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.

But for Gerald himself who did everything right; lived a healthy lifestyle and planned for the future, only to lose it with this sudden illness. I have had a long association and friendship with Gerald over the many years. Dating back to about 1981, we began working together organizing Observed Trials events for the Welland County Motorcycle Club (WCMC). May he Rest in Peace. Dave Thomas”
