It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerd Winfred Heidebrecht of Welland, Ontario, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Heidebrecht and Grete Heidebrecht; his in-laws, Herbert and Thelma Arbour; his sister Irmgard; and his siblings-in-law, Rainer Augsten, Bill Watson, Frank Murray, John Kent, Valerie Murray, Joan Kent and Karen MacKenzie.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Arbour; his son Michael of Welland; his brothers, Kurt (Ruth) and Ekkehard (Nancy); his siblings-in-law, Keith (Judy), Dave (Nancy), Gail Krikke (Jake) and Kathy Watson; and his caregivers, Doctor Wasserman, Dr. Prodger, Alison Mullins and Jill Brouwer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
