John Chesniak Obituary

We announce the death of John Chesniak (Welland, Ontario), who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 86. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eudocia Chesniak and Ksenty Chesniak; his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Olga and Mike.

He is survived by: his sister Mary; his sister-in-law Mavis Chesniak; his children, Sherry Anderson (Rob), Mark Chesniak (Rita), Terry Morabito (Jeff) and Jeff Chesniak (Sandy); his grandchildren, Shaye-Lynn Yaskovitch (Mike), Blake Anderson (Kayla), Brenna Cameron (Matthew), Bryan Chesniak (Krystal), Natasha Lawrence (Philip), Makayla Marozsan (Joshua), Tyler Chesniak (Shawnee) and Jason Chesniak; and his pet Jody. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the J. J. Patterson & Sons (19 Young St, Welland, ON L3B4C5). A masonic service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (50 Woodlawn Rd, Welland, ON L3C3J5).
