He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Wood and Julia Eva Champagne Wood; his wife Jackie Cassiday Wood; and his siblings, Monica Wraight, Nora Cassidy, Frances, Phyllis and Raymond Wood.

He is survived by: his daughters, Gloria Richard (Raymond) and Brenda Bissonnette (Brad); his grandchildren, Lisa Richard (Ed), Michelle Richard, Jeffrey Richard (Gabrielle), Ryan Bissonnette (Jenny), Jenna Young (Anthony) and Cassie Bissonnette; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Ricker, Tanner Ricker, Lillian Ladouceur, Nathan Manning, Taylor Bissonnette, Iyla and Vera Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He lived there until 2018 when he sold the house and moved to a retirement home but when covid hit he rented a home from his grandson to stay safe.
