RYAN, Katherine Anne (nee Knott) - Our loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 surrounded by her family. Survived by her husband Bill, brother David (Hong). Loving mother of Nadean (Tom) and Matthew (Jen) and step-mother of Mike (Tara) and Annie (Josh). Forever remembered by grandchildren Cierra (Gaige), Vaida, Mason, and Paisley. Kathy will be sadly missed by the remainder of her extended family and many friends.

Predeceased by her parents Earl and Mary Knott, brother Brian, and father of her children Mark Dagenais. There are not enough words to describe the woman Kathy was. She was a hardworking, loving, caring woman who would never hesitate to help anyone in need. You would never catch Kathy without a smile on her face. She knew how to fix any problem and would always look at the brighter side of things. She worked at Kirkpatrick Monuments for over 30 years and was planning on retiring really soon. She enjoyed get togethers with family and friends having a few drinks by the bonfire while dancing to her favourite tunes.

She was a very crafty woman, an amazing cook and had the biggest soul. May her memory be held close to the hearts of her loved ones. Love you always Mom. In keeping with Kathy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young St., Welland, on Friday September 22, 2023 from 11am until the time of the service in the Chapel at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Kathy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, St John the Baptist Hungarian Greek Catholic Church, the Cancer Research Society, or the ALS Society.
